This may be strange but i am always looking for a better way. I am a father with a son in diapers and the other day while changing his diaper. I looked at his diaper genie. I was wondering if the diaper genie bags would be a good way to store and keep firearms safe from moisture. They are water proof and odor proof but I need to test and see how it reacts to common gun oils and chemicals. If it works for under $10 you could get a lot of gun storage bags. Just a thought .

I'd say no,........plastic is a bad idea, traps moisture in as
    well as out.

I store ALL my weapons in my safe. I have two Remington
rechargeable desicant dryers in it. Additionally, each long
gun is in a silicone impregnated GunSock. Each pistol is
wraped in a silicone impregnated cloth, then in a PistolSock

I've done this for twenty years, never has a single issue
with corrosion on any of my guns.

Ooh! You REALLY need to send your guns to me to store in my safe. Here in Colorado, the problem isn't moisture, it's the local climate drying out any wood in your gun furniture. I got one of those "driers" with my safe. I laughed.

Lucky me, I USED to live in Michigan. Good luck with that.
