all pisto purchases on hold

Discussion in '1911 Forums' started by woodrowNC, Nov 7, 2010.

  1. it appears i've been diagnosed with hocm, long word for enlarged heart muscle. they have to slice some of my heart off. great. heading to Duke the 22nd to set it all up. anyway, it's put my LB on hold, or any future purchases for that matter. was really looking forward to my first semicuston. bummer, absolute bummer.

  6. thanks for the kind words. kinda puts things in perspective. but i'm an optimist. the surgeon who does this is considered a badazz in his field. a Dr. Don Glower. here's hoping he lives up to his reputation.:perfect10:

A guy at our gym had the exact same diagnosis 2 years ago.
He had surgery, and now runs 15 miles a week.
    You'll be better than ever.

Thank you. That's just what I wanted to hear.
Don't know about the baer. Part of me wants it, the other part wants to buy sa milspec
And send it to wilsons for some work. Nothing fancy, reliability work, certain
Bulletproof parts. That kind of thing. We'll see. Thanks

Sorry to hear and good luck man.
Duke takes care of business though; they saved one of my best friends from dying of very aggressive lymphoma when he was 18.
