If the NOPD were to charge every drunk who passes out on Bourbon Street with Public Intoxication they would have to farm out cases to half the courts in America just to stay on top of the caseload!

And I would say that is the key to the whole story.
Having an immature prank by your friends in highschool/college is one thing. I think most friends have done some stupid sh_t to each other at some point in their lives.

To have it happen in public, by an adult, who is complete stranger, and then posted online is a completely different story though.

Yeah, a lot of stupid to go around. The teabagger was not likely sober and using the best judgement either.

Perhaps the best punishment would be to let the teabagee teabag the teabagger on camera only he would have to be awake and sober.

It is dumb but there is some truth in it if you believe in personal responsibility at all.

Wow... How is it that the macho men on here want to talk tough on one post and then they sound like they went to school in a Ballerina Academy in another?

He's lucky someone to do some real crime on him while he was passed out in the Quarter!

I used to live in NOLA... it's part of the Napoleonic Code.

I think it even says something in there about tea bagging! :tongueout:

that sentence is BS plain and simple. another fine example of our BS legal systems .

reminds me of a case here in NC that boggled my mind few years ago .

a poor black man here in NC served 34 years in prison for stealing a black and white tv eons ago . 34 YEARS!!!!

  15. Thank goodness the crime happened in New Orleans. If it would have happened in Birmingham or Tuscaloosa, they would have given him a medal.

You guys haven't seen d-baggery like I have from Bama football fans. I know guys who cheered this act, as well as the poisoning of the historic oaks at Toomer's Corner.

Alabama football fans are world class D-Bags for the most part.

I dont think there was any sexual intent so it isnt sexual assault accept by definition of the law.

We had someone get shot once in the mall parking lot over football rivalry. It should be no surprise a drunk fan does something like this to a fan of the other team who passed out.

"Teabagging" is a well known prank that is often performed when alcohol is involved and someone passes out.

If you dont want crap done to you...then dont get so so drunk you pass out.

Drunks do stupid crap. Ive been to a party where someone was tea bagged. The guy woke up and kicked the other guy in the balls. We all laughed about it.

It was just a prank...even if it was stupid...even if they didnt know each other.

Glad he doesnt have to register as a sex offender at least.

Actually, sex registry is BS. If you can't trust the person and believe them to be at risk for "repeat offenses" KEEP THEM IN JAIL/LOCKED UP!!!! Don't release them back into society and make some "registry" bull ****! Absolutely makes no effing sense!

And yes, I don't think he should be a registered sex offender (but as you just read my stance on registries) what he did was ILLEGAL, and therefore he should and has the right to a trial by jury. We'll see how it pans out for him.
