Thinking of getting a gas powered airsoft for practice in my house. The one i'm looking at getting is powered by green gas. I've heard green gas is the same thing as propane. These guns shoot at around 300fps. Are they safe to use in the house? Will it put dents in the walls or other objects? How about the smell from the gas, is it a strong odor that will last for a while? I've never handled one as is obvious from the questions.

I've been using 134A gas for my Western Arms Wilson FBI pistol. It doesn't leave a noticable odor when using it in the house.

I've only used the green gas outside so I can't give a definitive answer, but I don't think it would be a problem if you're only using one mag because you have little down time that you're not firing while you're loading up a new mag.

I can't find a site where it had information on what brands of airsoft are good and which brands you shouldn't waste your money on. I've been looking all over for it but, I can't find the site anymore, anyone know what site I'm talking about?

BTW: The smell that is distinctive of propane is not actually from the propane, it is added in the bottling process to let you smell it to keep you from suffocating.

So, I guess the question would be, do the canisters contain the perfume or not?

Green gas has a distinctive smell, some like it and some dont. It doesnt bother me much. If you wanted a quality pistol, get something like this

    http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=25_120&products_id=241

It has everything you need in that package, has an upgraded slide, recoil rod, and valve. KSC/KWA (they're the same thing...its hard to explain) is also a quality brand.

Something to check on with the Glock copy airsoft guns is if they fit in a holster made for Glock. The G19 copy that I used looked very similar to a real Glock, but it didn't fit in my Sidearmor holster like a real Glock would. I don't know if it was the slide width or maybe the trigger guard, but something was quite the same size.
