Hey guys... anyone add a rail to their 1911?

    Pictures?

Did you do it yourself or have it done?

I'd like to add one to my Springfield 1911-A1 so I can attach some white-light when needed.

It is ugly... but looks as if it'd work... and easy to put on AND take off which means my Springer wouldn't be permanently altered...

Hmmmmm... this Springer is just going to live in my glove box...

A co-worker had Dave Severns put one on his kimber. Worked out well. If one must go that route it seems like a good one.

I just got done reading the whole review above & gotta say; THANKS craig19!

    After reading the following...

"... the TICK Rail is designed such that, once fitted to the frame, it can be installed and removed without taking out the slide stop... The rail unit has enough flex that it can be slid onto the frame and snap right over the proprietary slide stop pin... What this means is that the pistol can actually be carried in any holster, and the light can be carried already attached to the TICK Rail. Sliding the TICK Rail with light installed onto the pistol is no more difficult or time consuming than sliding a tactical light onto a fixed rail. In fact, it’s probably faster."

... I am ALL about this TICK Rail & will going this route for my G.I. instead of the one at Brownells!
