So what do you think? Shoudl I or shouldn;t I? They appear to be very similiar, differences primarily being processor speed and screen size, anything else I missed?

I'm open to other suggestions. However, if I get a new one, retail, it needs to be from Comp USA or Best Buy or we need to factor in $100 shipping which is what it typically cost to get a computer shipped up here to Alaska.

I would wait a couple weeks and find a good deal on one at best buy. There are no rebates that have to be mailed off and check received 8-12 weeks later. I would also step up at least a little bit to 1Gb of RAM and Vista Home Premium, with Home Basic you're getting all the headaches with none of the benefits.

The only differences I saw with the two that D.C. listed are processor speed and battery life, I would go with the longer battery than a minute difference in processor speed.
