I tried to post this in the technical forum, before I realized that it was inactive. I have been shooting pistols for many, many years, but I did something today for the first time. I accidentally shot a 9mm jhp through my new gen 3 G23. It made a squib sound, but cleared the barrel, though it did not cycle the action. The case was bulged, but I saw no visible damage to the barrel or other components. I fired a 15 round mag of 40 through the gun immediately afterwards, and it was perfect. Other than being more careful, should I be concerned about my pistol?

    Many thanks.

Don't worry about the pistol. Unless it's being fired to save an innocent life, the only damage this sort of mishap causes is "shooter embarassment."
