    Good BD player, but doing firmware updates is a pain in the rear. They don't have an ethernet port, so you have to do it manually. Doing this by the SD slot *should* work, but a number of those reviewers on that page, have said that it's a crap shoot, and that the only sure way to do firmware updates is to burn the update onto a CD or DVD blank, and do it that way.

    The odds of running into a movie that your player can't read aren't too high, so my concerns may not have too much of an impact, but I'd rather not have to waste CD's.

    Better to spend a bit more, and get one that has ethernet connectivity.
