ah. they named it goldwater now. i was involved in operation"bury barry" back when i was in honorguard at luke.
Heard they're retiring the warthogs. Shame! There's just some unique character about them that makes a statement, kinda like the original Jeep Wrangler makes a statement, but with a lot less ammo.
with budget cuts probbaly wont happen. we dont have anything to replace it or the money to buy something to replace it.
As an active duty Infantryman in the 80's I was very, very glad we had these bad boys!

nice! whats the T shaped thing behind the cockpit? its been about 14 years since i worked on em when i was in korea and i dont remember that being there. i had to shimmie down the back bone to pull the turtle back pannel to raise the canopy for seat removal.
Satellite radio? J/K lol I have no idea.
Maybe someone who knows can chime in?
GPS? Some sort of antenna.
