Oh, not at all. It's just every 9mm shooter has to justify his choice. Most 45acp guys are comfy in theirs. I live in a 10rd mag state. MyXDTAC is the same size as a G19/23/32, same rd count. So I prefer bigger holes. Any JHP tech that makes the 9mm better also makes the 45 better.

Wow, what an amusing exchange! How do you all regard the most modern defensive pistol round in common usage today - and actually invented in the 21st century - the 45GAP?

    Cheers

The 45gap IMO is a solution to a problem that never existed. The 230gr 45acp is the handgun round that dominated early trench warfare and sent many German soldiers clutching their 9mm Luger's to their graves.

I see that my retorts have been too much for your feeble brain to withstand, so you've taken to augmenting my posts and in such a blatantly desperate manner as well.

I am still waiting for WinterWhiner's .45 "Always Can't Penetrate" videos! Stop doing this :crying: and let's see the videos, or is it because they do not exist in this dimension?

Well, that's good for you M&P, I do however think that the .45 GAP is much better than the .45 "Always Can't Penetrate" simply because it's shorter case is a better design for it's lousy ballistics, why have such a long case, when it's not required?

WinterWhiner, where are these videos of yours, with the perforating champion caliber .45 ACP?  I actually feel sick saying such an obviously sarcastic and oxymoronic statement such as .45 ACP and perforate in the same sentence, sigh! :tongueout::whistling::wavey:

Can an .45 Automatic Colt Pistol aka Always Can't Penetrate, round actually perforate both sides of a microwaved stick of butter, tune in next week to find out on...The World's most slow and antiquated calibers!

Starring your host and armchair commando elite tacticool Paramilitary Ghost Recon sniper M&P Shooter, with his trusty kleenex toting sidekick WinterWhiner! :crying:

If you want a penetrator, go with hard cast.

Penetration is not everything, and in some cases its exactly what you DON'T want...

Such pearls of wisdom! None of us could have ever known that over-penetration in one's home for example, could cause collateral damage, or that complete pass throughs on the street could in fact wound an innocent bystander! Good job! Thanks for clearing that up! :tongueout::whistling::wavey:

I would rather have confidence in my accuracy. I am a much better shot with my P226 9mm than I am with my XDM .40 so I would much rather have the 226 if necessary. I have not shot my Glock 19 yet to see how well I do with that. All of that said, my GP-100 is beside my bed.

It seems this debate will go on forever.

Amplified is obviously trolling everyone on this forum and many are falling for it. I give him 1 week if that before the mods see his intentions on GT and warn him then ban him since trolls can never contain themselves. I would bet my weeks pay he has been here before or even more then once and will be kicked and back again. Don't feed the troll and he will starve and die.
