I was trying to change the spark plugs on the motor and when I put the socket down in the head to change them it came back covered in oil. Would this oil leak into the cylinder when I take out the spark plugs?

Not hard. I think the 93's had they type that the valve cover is held down with large nuts on the spark plug holes.
