Just to make sure I am not messing up, do you need the stock bearing plate with the Speedfeed Sport Stock Set on the 870 or the Speedfeed Pistol Grip (Birds Head Grip)?

I have never had a problem without it on the PGO, but just bought a used Speedfeed Sport Stock and wondering if I need to put one in there as the spacers are so cheap.

I lost the bearing plate I had, so could not test it out to see if it fit.

The stock bearing plate is only used for wood stocks. don't need it for others
