82nd Airborne

    Hey, where is the all the 82nd guys and gals hiding, sound off .

    I was with the 82nd ABN Military Police from 74-77. I should have stayed, but the wife had medical problems and I needed to spend time with her. Great unit, GReat times.
     


  3. I wasnt in the 82nd but my Grandpa was with the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment ( i belive now it's the 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment) for almost 3yrs during WWII. He passed away in Aug of 2005 while I was in Iraq. Luckily I got to make it home in time b4 he passed.

    Txsoldier, glad that you made home be fore your grandfather's passing. My father started with the 82nd and earned his wings in 1942, later he was transferred to the 503rd PIR and made a total of 17 jumps, 3 of them combat. He passed his wings onto me and we both have or initals on the back, my youngest son is currently in Al Ramadi,Irag.

    Charlie Battery, 2/319 Arty. 1967. They transfered 2 brigades of us to the 101st, and shipped the lot to RVN.
    We'll always have Fayette-Nam.

    Delta Company, 2/505th PIR from March 1988 - February 1992. Tabbed on 11 October 1988. Sinai MFO mission 1989-1990, Desert Shield/Desert Storm. 36 total jumps in spite of beng deployed for over a year of my time there. Some of the best times of my life.

    I am sounding off for army son Edward 82nd Airborne who is on his 4th tour in the Sand Box. He is a third generation military, I was in the Navy for over 20 years and my father was in the Army for 27 years.

    Served from 1983-86 with Division: 2/508 and 82d MP Co. Went to Infantry School 5/82-8/82(while with NY ARNG)and Jump School(42d Co.,4th STB)Sept-Oct 1983. Currently in GaARNG, got back into Reserve Components in 2001(after 9/11)following a 10 yr. break. Life Member in 82d Association. ALL THE WAY!!!!!

  15. I grew up in fayetteville. My father is a retired cwo4. 3/505 PIR, and his last tour as the deputy I.G. there on Bragg.
