picked it up today. raining here, but i put a mag of pdx1's thru it in the backyard anyway. thumb safety wants to engage during recoil, so i might get a new one fit, some grips, and other than that this one stays stock. someone took care of this pistol.
Beautiful pistol. I have one just like it, all original, only its vintage 1982.
Suggestion: if the safety needs work, try and stay with the original if possible to keep the pistol in its original condition. I'd think a good smith could rework as necessary, the original to get it working properly. Unmodified S70s are getting harder to find.
Ref. the safety engaging, just get a new spring kit for the plunger and such. That's probably all you need. It made a world of difference on my used OACP. Positive safety engagements now.
thanks all. plunger and spring look ok sam, but i'll replace em anyway. that would be my kind of fix, 10 bucks. after thinking about it, i won't mess with the safety. it'll go from the range to the safe. no carry, no hd.
