I was looking for a holster for my SW 629 5" which I will use for hunting. I am going to be doing some hunting on foot and some riding a mountain bike. I don't know if hip carry is the best. Basically I wanted to hear from someone with more experience then I so I don't have to try out a bunch of different carry meathods before I figure out what is going to work.

  2. I took my dad's 629 out 3 times last year and used a uncle mike belt holster. It cost me maybe $20.00 and held up great for a 6" magnum.

if you have the $$$$ to spend a el paso leather would look nice ;)
