    So i was using 62gr OAL @ 2.250 over 23.5gr of TAC.

Place was out of 62gr m855 so i bought 1k m193 55gr! SO my question is.. should my OAL change? Ramshot doesnt list a 55gr FMJBT. So thats why i ask :D Thanks GTR

I don't have a number off the top of my head...2.210" maybe?

Just make sure you have as much of the bearing surface touching the neck as you can. Boat tail doesn't count...

If that means it doesn't line up with the cannelure, so be it. Don't crimp.

    Just my opinion...

Ramshot has data for a 55 gr VNE FMJ

I have no idea what the abbreviation 'VNE' means nor is the definition given in the data manual. "Varmit Nightmare Xtreme" comes up in Google.

EDIT: I loaded my Montana Gold 55 gr FMJ to 2.250" and this left the crimp in the case mouth exactly at the forward edge of the cannelure.

OOPS: You're right, the Ramshot manual doesn't say anything about BT FMJ. The Montana Gold bullet has the slightlest little taper at the base of the bullet. I guess it could be called BT. Without the taper, I don't know how I would seat a rifle bullet as the cases aren't bell-mouthed.

Most all m193 55 fmj's seat to an oal of 2.250" which puts the cannelure at the case mouth. Some 55 fmj bullets have a blunt rounder nose profile than does m193 which have a long sharp pointed tip. Tips with a rounded blunt profile get seated to 2.210-2.230".
