.50 Beowolf

    Has anyone heard of this. I just now have heard of it and it looks to be the next mod for my AR-15.

    Any thoughts comments or experiences?

    If you can get the mags to feed right I imagine it's an awesome conversion.

    I have fired the .502 Thunder Saber which is a bit shorter than the Beowolf and fires a 335 grain jhp at 1700 fps.

    I know some people have gone for the .458 SOCOM because of better bullet selection but that's getting better since the .500 SW came out.

    There must be someone on the bb with more details...

    Has roughly the same ballistics as a .45-70 Gov't in a really light AR. I took an 8 pointer with mine the Friday after Thanksgiving using a factory 325gr JHP.

    Nice looking deer. Doesn't look like there is much left of that front shoulder though.
