I am currently in the market for a new light. I have had a surefire G2 or 3 or whatever bass pro carries for about 2 years but it seems like I am replacing the batteries way to often. I got this light from bass pro in the mail off a gift card I received for Christmas and the light showed up with dead batteries and it seems like every time I go to use the light the batteries are dead. I have always used the surefire brand batteries and am pretty sure something is wrong with the light but surefire doesn't want to help me so I am in the market for something new. Has anyone used any of the 5.11 lights and how do you feel about them. Played around with one in a dicks sporting goods store the other day and really liked it but I'm one of those that like to come home and sit on the idea for a little bit.

I have the 5.11 atac a1. I've had it and carried it for about 5 months. Works great, fits in my pocket comfortably and the high setting is pretty damn bright. Paid about 50 bucks for it at a local surplus/military store.

You can get this 860 lumen monster,,

,for $62.60 to your door from here (use "BLF" as coupon code)

This light sounded simply too good to be true for the price. But it blows all my Surefires out of the water, including my M900 vertical grip with Lumen Factory 900lumen turbohead conversion.

So now i own 3 of these. If you want the same light but with less tactical toys, rails and thingmabobs, you can get this for just $52.50 with that same coupon:

I've owned Surefire lights and weaponlights exclusively for the last 15 years, but have now purchased 6 Nightcores in the last 3 months..
