Was wondering if anyone has tried this yet. Load the standard 45 clip and just change out the barrel and maybe the spring. 44 mag power in a semi.

I think it was the '09 Gun Digest that did a really neat article on the .460 Rowland.

I found it in our public library.

    Article on RealGuns.com

Looks like a real hog bustin SOB to me.

Redhaze, that's on 1911's. The OP is asking about a G21 conversion.

I'd be curious if the G21 could stand up to the beating. I think I read that it tends to destroy polymer guns in not too much time. Only one I've heard of is a Springfield XD.

I've also seen where the all steel Kimbers are fine for it to RH. It's a hoss. WW that's what I was thinking as well even with the compensator they ship with it. I've seen where the XD stood the pressure in there testing but there testing also showed the G21 holding it too. I have no idea what there testing consist of either. I would not think they shot 1000's of rounds tho which brings us back to your reply WW. Thx for the suggestions and comments

    Just another ball of mud.
Johnny Rowland says they are good to go.

I've converted a Kimber Warrior and a S&W 625 to the mighty 460 Rowland. The only problem encountered was splitting the grips on the 625. It's a monster, Yo.

Yeh TKM I've called and talked to Rowland as well and at that time they were still working with the G21 and G20 platform. But think of your S&W and what it did to it...... I would like see the Glock frame after a 1000 rounds. I'm just saying like you, it's a lot of power and would hate for it come back in my face..
