I think you should know that new 45cal S&B fmj cost around P25 each at PB.

keep your S & B ammo. The sealant around the bullet and primers means you can store them for extended time.

Has somebody ever come across MFS ammo? I bought mine sometime in 1990. They were packaged in white boxes of 25 rounds each. They also had red color seals on the primer and on the case neck and are berdan-primed . I tested a couple in my G17 and the recoil was low. When I inspected the inside of the shell, I noticed that there was little or no residue at all.

Winchester is only slightly higher than S&B. For .45, you can get S&B for $7.50/box of 50 and Winchester for $8.00/box at gunshows if you buy a whole case (1,000 rds). About the same price as the Armscor that's being sold here. I shoot all three brands, depending on which my dealer friend "has on special." BTW, I am looking at a Winchester box, it says Made in the U.S.A. Maybe the one sold in the Philippines is made in the Czech republic. YMMV.

Thanks Mang Danny! Got it! I also found the manufacturers of my M16 ammo with GE and GF stamps. The bullets have a rounder profile compared to the M193 rounds. They have a green seal on the primer, and when I fired it, the muzzle blast was minimal and the color is greenish blue.

I really have no idea if MFS uses corrosive primers. Hope not. But do some ammo manufacturers still use corrosive primers? I know that pre-1955 M1 Carbine rounds have corrosive primers.

Not all European ammo and mil-surp are corrosive but I clean my gear as having fired corrosive ammo. I use Wolf too. ;)
