454 casull and light loads

Discussion in 'Hunting, Fishing & Camping' started by noway, Feb 6, 2005.

  1. Any body have any receipes for light stuff in this caliber in a 300gr loading. I just picked up Tarus raging bull in this caliber. It was one of those impluse buys.

  2. Use 45 LC loads in it or reload the 45 LC. Esox357

I'd have to think Win 296 would make that thing shoot since it does with just about everything else in that range. Light is a relative term there. 300gr at 1200fps is "light" in a casull.

I'd bet money you could drop it down to .45 Colt Ruger/TC only loads. I'd personally give a try, but that's me.

You sure do have it out for those hogs. ;f

These boy's are right, in that, a load for the 45LC, will give you a "light load," so to speak.

As .."mpol777", said, 1200fps, and a 300gr. is light for that gun, cause 'that loading,' don't buck all that much out of just a Ruger BH.

I also agree... Man you are a Hog's worse nightmare! ;f

    Later my friend!
