Just when I get the dies set, the brass tumbled and cleaned, I noticed that some of the Federal .45 brass have small pockets.

    Dang it!

Yes, I used the Search Function and found the spinning yellow thing.

Good to know that these rounds are good for something. Guess I'll keep 'em handy when swapping out calibers, and will load them out when I reload the GAP rounds, since they also use SPP.

For now, I'll just stick to the LPP-type cases. I'd hate to think what would happen at Station #1 when trying to force a large primer into a small pocket. Still learning...

God I hope not! I hate having to sort them. I was going to toss them, but thought I should save them just in case I need throw away brass. Who knows, liberals may decide to deny reloading to us by demanding all brass be Berdan primed in the future.:steamed:

Guess I should update the sorting system. (Not pictured: .45 GAP--they were already sorted before I dumped all the ammo into a 3-gal bucket.)

What should I call it? 45 SPP? 45 dummy load brass? 45 Liberal? You guys are OK...no matter what everyone else says

Don't know about that one...that round would still have a deep voice, and it wouldn't load right with BALL ammo.

My brass stash has never been fouled by the presence of any GAP.

I wish the 10mm and .45 ACP had small pistol primers. Need more "oomph", get a magnum primer. Only cartridges like the .44 mag truly need a large primer.

If you ever do find some of the Good Stuff among your pedestrian .45 ACP brass, be sure to send it to me!

You know I will, gary. But so far, my usual desert spots have been free of the perversions.
