Just upgraded my trusty old SE T68i cellphone to a K700i and I have been making/converting 3GPP videos for viewing on the phone. Just thought I'd share some with you guys.

The files have been uploaded to this site. The files are listed as Blakemiguez2b.3gp,Blakemiguez.mpg.3gp, and bogs.3gp(intro of mc_olivers band of glockers video). Right click on the listed files and "save target as" to download them on your computer.

You can only view these videos on your cellphone(K700,P800,P900,N7650,N3650 and similar) or on your PC with a 3GPP player like mpegable player.

If any of you have interesting 3GPP or MPEG4 videos for phones(doesn't have to be related to shooting) please share them here.
If you have some short MPEG shooting videos that you'd like me to convert to 3GPP just send them to doctabako@yahoo.com . Thanks

Doc, try renaming the file with an 'mpg' extension (like from shoot.3gp to shoot.mpg). This will fool the site into accepting it as a valid upload format.

After downloading the file, rename it back to *.3gp.

You can download the 3gp player (Nokia multimedia Player) HERE and/or HERE. This will allow you to play 3gp files in your PC.

Btw, the max upload file size is only 500kb yata.

    HTH.

    ;)

Found a site to upload them. See the first post above for the links. This should work now(I hope);f

I took the liberty of converting one of your videos to 3GPP. Thanks for your suggestion but how does one rename a file extension? I'm only familiar with renaming a file. Does one have to open it in another program? Thanks

Aside from the Nokia Multimedia Player you can also use Mpegable Player or Mpegable Decoder to allow you to play it in Windows Media Player. These are available for download here

You can download docT's files using this link:

    http://www.parisp.com/k700/3gp-video/

I think your Explorer view has been configured to "hide extensions of files of known type." This is the default setting and good for most users, for their files' sake. ;f

    To change this:
    1. Run Windows Explorer
    2. click on the 'Tools' menu.
    3. Click on 'Options'
    4. click the 'View' tab.
    5. Uncheck 'Hide file extensions for know file types'
    6. Click 'Ok' button.

You can now see all your files with a '.xxx', where xxx is the extension (.3gp, in your case). Rename the file normally and just enter a new extension. ;)

    HTH.

Oops again, didn't know that. You can access the files by going directly to the site then as mc_oliver said. They're listed as Blakemiguez2b.3GP, Blakemiguez1b.mpg.3gp and bogs.3gp ;f http://www.parisp.com/k700/3gp-video/

Thanks for the tips mc_o, you've been a big help:)
