357 SIG LE GD Duty Ammo

    But I'd bet that the .357 magnum revolver round would expand much better - having an exposed lead nose.

    They expand great. Trouble is you really have to take care of those lead hollow point cavities. Drop them on the floor and they wont be the same or expand the same. It is also a problem when carrien in speed loaders.

    I would be worried about an exposed lead nose HP having feeding trouble in a semi-auto. That is one I would definitely want to test a lot to ensure there was no hanging up on the feedramp.

    Autoloading cartridges have to have more durable bullet noses for the feed ramp. Revolver cartridges have only air in front of them.
