I want a gun for target shooting, looking for the most accuracy. So with that said if two guns were built equal....barrel materail, length, proper twist, match trigger. witch caliber has the accuracy advantage? will be shooting to 1000 yrds possibly.

Mechanical (ie short-range) accuracy will be identical, limited by the rifle, ammo, and you.

7mm RM or WSM has a ballistics advantage over .300WM because its bullets have higher BC values at a given velocity range.

    7mm RM/WSM can shoot a 0.61-0.63 BC bullet (160-170gr) at 3000-3100 fps, or a 180gr 0.65-68 BC bullet at 2900-3000 fps.
