Does anyone make a 28in barrel for the 590s. I would like to use mine as a back up gun for hunting.

If you go check the Havlin Sales site I believe that they have what you're looking for or something close in the Clearance Barrels section.

Thanks for the reply. They do have a 24in cyl bore barrel. Not sure how it would work for birds.

One other option would be an 835 barrel if you have the six shot 18.5" 590A1. The 835 barrels will work on those.

Doesn't the 835 have a 3.5" chamber? Would the barrel fit on the 3" chamber of a 590?

The chamber is the barrel. The ejection port is longer (as is the receiver to accomodate it) on the 835. You could still fire the 3.5" rounds from what I understand with an 835 barrel on an 590A1 receiver, but the ejection port may be too short to reliably eject the shell after firing.
