I could go to my 25th high school class reunion this summer, or I could run an all-women shoot the same weekend. I cannot decide. What would you do?

I guess it depends if you want to catch up on friends or acquaintances you knew in high school. The friends I had in high school I still talk to daily, the rest I could care less about

But then again I never had a bad range day

My 10 year was a couple of years ago, didn't go. I still talk to the friends I wanted to from highschool. I would take shooting over seeing people that I didn't care enought to keep in contact with.

Facebook has killed much of the need for reunions.

    Go shooting.

The "5th" reunions aren't so great. It's the "10's" that everyone shows up for. I've had a great time every 10 years.
I only went to one "5th", and was so disappointed in it. Hardly anyone was there... at least not nearly as many as there were at the others.

    Just my experience.

I suggest that for those that were not in with the in crowd, the only good reason to go to a high school reunion is to see how fat the popular cheerleader became and how much hair the star football player has left.

<--- might could go to 50th reunion in six years

I would rather hold the target while you shoot than attend my class reunion.

I don't even like the word "reunion"... it implies that there was a union in the first place that I enjoyed.

I wasn't with the in crowd, but I wasn't a reject either, but this is why I want to go to mine. It's going to be a train wreck.

I can shoot anytime. I thoroughly enjoyed both my 10th and 20th.

10th, everyone was posing, still cliquish a bit.

    20th, everyone had grown up.

For me, I would go to the reunion, you can shoot anytime. I was from a very small class and those folks I graduated with are close to my heart, I would rather see them, there were just 16 of us.

The only reason to go to a reunion is to see how poorly the "hotties" aged.
    Go shooting.

Go shooting. If you're not already talking to those people, why start now?

If you had close friends in HS, why not look them up on facebook and see if they will be there?

    Go shooting.

I actually do stuff with the people from high school that I want to spend time with. If I wanted to find out what happened to my classmates, I'd talk to my mom as she's still hooked into the grapevine. I really have no interest in listening to random stories about kids and jobs.

    Reunions are for
    1. Hookups
    2. Showing off
    3. Laughing at others

It's the modern age. If you wanted to see people, you should call them or look them up on the internet.

Apparently, I don't have to worry about people thinking I'm a jerk for not going to the reunion in favor of shooting. I knew I came to the right place to ask. Mr.C will say that since all my imaginary internet friends agree I'm right to go shooting instead, it must be okay! Go shoot! (I promised him years ago not to drag him to a reunion).

This is also an example for my daughter, about asking the right person(s) to answer one's question... where's the smirking smiley when I need it?

    Thanks, everybody!
