Apart from a Ruger are there any moderately priced .22LR semi's that are NOT ammo picky?

I need a beginner's training gun that will dependably run on something other than CCI Mini-Mags.

    What say you?

    ummm, not a P22

not to immediately drag your thread off topic, but why not an SR22?

Browning buck marks have a fairly decent reputation. Or maybe a beretta 21a.

Might consider if I knew they were dead reliable with ammo other than the most high dollar, premium.

Anyone know for certain they're not ammo picky?

From what I could find online and on youtube, they run on just about everything.

So, I snagged one off Budsgunshop.com.

    Thanks

Well... my Ruger SR22 has been through over 600 rounds of Federal Champion (walmart) without a single hiccup. And, I do mean not one malfunction. That's definitely NOT premium ammo. :)

Ran 500+ rounds of Federal 36gr HPs through a Beretta Neos and a Sig522 yesterday. Not a single hiccup.

Not exactly cheap, but my CZ Kadet has been flawless with any .22lr ammo put through it.

    Hey DOC,

I like my Colt Gold Cup by Umarex. It's made by Walther and isn't picky about ammunition. I paid about $270.00 for it brand new. I shoot it more then any gun I own.

Our 2 P-22s are pretty much flawless and extreemly fun with CCI products, Federal bulk and Rem Golden bulk-pac ammo.

Doc, try some CCI blazer in your ISSC, should work as well as the mini-mag.

on the other hand.......standard Browning buckmarks are cheap, plentiful and eats everything. 100% reliable (especially if you can find an older model).

all steel barrel and slide (grip is alloy).

More accurate than most "action pistol look alike" guns, and easy to add optic mount.

And did I mention the nice trigger straight out of box.

I love my S&W 22A. I have never had any issues with it. Just a blast to shoot.

Yea, I saw the title and thought "ruger mk, ruger sr 22 rifle and pistol all I've had great experiences with, and own some my self."
