Thinking of getting a 220 Super Match. Any opinions?
    Thanks.

I picked up a Sig Sauer P220 Sport extended match grade 5.47" barrel
and Sport black oxide mags for my classic P220.

I'd save a few more bucks and get an X-Five.

Its a much higher quality pistol.

    I have a p220 Super Match...2" groups at fifty yards. The main plus is it's a .45.

    Is that freehand?

Where are you aiming your sights?

    I can't imagine that's freehand.

2" groups at 50 yards is impossible for most pistols even from a ransom rest.

LOL...no that's sure not freehand. I am lucky when I can see that far. Actually, it was off a rest and it's only happened twice. I believe the pistol would be consistent, but it takes some creativity.
The sights were adjusted up, but with the "rainbow" trajectory of the 45ACP, i had to aim above the target. One sort of dials in the trajectory in order to put the projectile on the target.
I have a 952 S&W with the long slide that's a little easier to get the 2" groups.

The first time I field stripped the 952...I like to never got the barrel back in the barrel bushing.
I first wanted an X5 Sig, and actually bid online for one. I won the auction, but the owner had forgotten to remove the auction listing, because he was out of stock. We arrived at a settlement that included the 952. One of the X5s is still in my future.
