You gotta love hose damn Hosepullers! We have some as SWAT medics on our Team and I'd trust my life to any of them. Not LEO, but our brothers none the less...

Looks like some of those hosedraggers made at least one arrest. I wonder if they bounced them off the fire truck like one of our crews did with a a guy wacked out on shrooms. Or did they go spanner wrench like one of our manager's dads back in the day. He always used to tell her, "There's nothing that can't be solved with a spanner wrench."

They were just giving the kids a good play day. They love to play in the hydrants and the water hoses, right? lol

Good on FDNY for coming to their assistance.

I've found these crowds of teens now are more dangerous than anything else, especially when you throw in their gang affiliations. It caused a riot down here in May.

  6. I'm sure FD had a "blast" utilizing the fire hose for crowd control.....Pardon the pun...:whistling:...

We sometimes get calls to assist for "FD with a combative patient." Who would want to fight with the firemen? Most are burly hosspeckers, with every widget imaginable on their truck, and no use of force rules! They'll beat you up, pop every tire on your car, take off the roof, Hurst tool all the doors, and then pour some alcohol in any openings they made in you! I love 'em.

Cops and firefighters are like older brothers. You can pick on each other, but no one else had dare start anything.

Free shower. Looks like some of those kids needed one. They should be thanking the fire department.

Well put, and thank you. You guys get the rougher end of things though. People are generally happy when FD shows up, not so much with PD.

  11. I'd toss EMS into this list too.

I actually had a boss look at me somewhat terrified when I suggested this once...

I recall two specific occasions where firefighters jumped into brawls where I wasn't exactly winning.

CC99 posted a great story back in the day about the FD coming to his rescue when he was in deep stuff at a biker bar.

Very true, I had a couple of assists from them when I was on a foot post and they requested PD and things went bad.
