Got back from the range today!!!!!

    • First time shooting a Glock.

    • First time shooting my Glock 23 gen3. (First gun I've ever owned)

    • First time at an indoor range.

Needless to say...I don't have any firearm experience. I shot 10rds through an XDM once but that's it! So...go easy on me!

Shot about 75 rounds from 15 feet and 25 rounds from 21 feet. (0 malfunctions btw)

I have decided that I'll keep a target from each range visit to show progress. Here is my first target!!!!!

    SPECS:
    15 feet
    180g Win Wbox
    Standing
    5 rounds total (4 in a tight group.....w/ 1 flyer)

FWIW....I'm a true Hickok45 inspired shooter. He's the reason why I picked up this hobby....and this gun!

Nice shooting. For anyone not just a beginner. Take the time to read and learn as much as possible if you are interested. It's a worthy investment.

Congrats brother. Hope you enjoy the sport, it can be really fun, as long as you put safety first. Hickok45 is my hero as well, and I recently purchased my first Glock(2months ago) as well.

I recomend that you practice, practice practice. Take some beginners classes, they will teach you the basics that you need to know. Again, congrats on the new pistol, and welcome to the forum!

Nice shooting! I've seen a lot worse from first time Glockers. Well done!

Your target shows that you have true potential. Don't give up and don't try to put speed before accuracy. Take your time and make the hits...the speed will come all by itself.
    And welcome to GT!

45 minutes to a range is rough. I have quite a few local options but I make a 2 1/2 hour ride to shoot with a good group of guys once a month. More of a training group than stand, point, and shoot. You have a ton of potential. You seem to be an overall natural as where some of us( myself included) had to learn and practice to get like that in the beginning. Consider yourself very lucky. Haha
    Keep on rockin'!

  10. Congrats the G23 is my EDC mainly because I can shoot that one the best out of all my handguns.
