Thought I'd share a pic of my Ruger MKII Target
I picked this up On January 1st 2010, First gun of the Year & Decade for Me..
I have since installed a Volquartzen Trigger KIT that includes the Hammer, Sear, Sear Spring, Trigger, Trigger Spring & an Extended Slide Stop Lever which I didn't use BTW..
Trigger Pull is right @ 2lbs with 100% NEW Factory Mainspring & Recoil Springs..
I've got around 3000 rounds of the Federal 550 Bulk Ready to tear the range up
Done a few MODs to my 10/22 that also need to be wringed out..

Great looking Mark II !! I love the stainless look. Also, nice wood grips!

Here's a pic of my blue Mark II Target from 1984:

If you want to get rid of that unused extended bolt release, PM me, I'm your man. :)

I took the Eagle Rosewood grips off for two reasons, First I prefer the extra girth the Hogue grips provide because of the finger grooves & Secondly my Son is a Lefty so I went with the ambi Hogues & was also lucky enough to score a set of New/Old Stock Hogues that were made before the MKIIIs were out as it isn't cut for the magazine release..
The extended slide release is stainless & I have it in my goody bag, I also have a new extended black polymer magazine release for a MKII in the stash as well that's going to waist..

I traded the Eagle Grips for a S&W Zippo, set of handcuffs & a 30 year old boot knife..
I've already sold the knife for $55 so I didn't do too bad..
Thanks for the kind words deadite..
I'm glad you were in the want for the extended slide release, It should be the cats pajamas with your Target grips.. Post a pic..

I have a '71 standard, before they were called MKs, and a '77 MK1 if I recall the dates correctly.

Yeah, the slide release works perfectly with the Herrett's Nationals. The Nationals wood thickness was a little thicker than the factory release, so I couldn't actuate it, but the extended one is perfect. :) Great pack job, by the way.

I like the tapered target barrel as it ballances very nicely..

Those older MkIIs are really nice, I like the blued versions with wood grips but it is hard to find one in good condition.
