1911 trp

    Finally got a 1911 today! A Springfield TRP Operator! Sorry for the bad cell phone pic. The only gripe is that when I purchased it is that it does not have the traditional bushing and guide rod set up. You have to put a pin in the recoil spring to remove it. Wish I had known this before purchase. But is sure is a nice gun!

    yeah, for some reason they went with the bull barrel and adjustable sights on the TRP Operator, while the Professional Operator and MC Operator have a bushing barrel and fixed sights.

    i always liked my Bull Barrel officer 1911 everyone always said you needed the clip to strip It i never did. sweet 1911 swap those Bo Mars out for some fixed sights and you got a good night stand gun

    :cool:Congrats on your TRP. I was at a range and a LEO was shooting his and it was shooting some great groups, very nice.

    I believe that the TRP Operator slides are milled to accept a barrel bushing so you could have a conventional barrel/bushing fitted if you choose.

    Good to know about the bushing I want to look into that.
