    Okay,

either the Springfield TRP or Kimber Warrior......

my LGS has both in stock, i've been trying to educate myself on 1911's the past couple weeks and really like these two guns....

so 1911 veterans, help me choose.....which one would you pick????

I have a stainless TRP and it is one heck of a shooter.
It's nice too in that it feels rugged and I don't worry about it.
It was tight as could be at first but is finally loosening up after a few hundred rounds through it. It is also heavy, which helps with accuracy as it absorbs recoil well.

This is 3 folks telling you to get the TRP. I have one and my friend has a Kimber. IMO, there's a difference in quality and feel. You get what you pay for, but a SS TRP can be had for around $1,200.

The quality of Springfield's customer service is unsurpassed by any other company in the gun industry. Their warranty is great. Their guns are GTG.

I've never understood Kimber's appeal to anybody who intends to actually shoot a 1911.

the reason i was looking at kimber warrior was purely based on looks.....it is a very sleek looking gun....

but everyone has a more favorable opinion of the TRP, which i like also.....this is my first 1911, so TRP it is :)

I think that is an excellent choice for a first!
Heck, it took me several to work my way up to a TRP.
Enjoy and let us know what you think.

Good choice, the TRP is head and shoulders over the Warrior.

Definitely TRP. Kimber is hit or miss at best. Unfortunately I have had more misses with them. Easy choice.

I've been carrying an INOX Custom Carry II. I love that gun.
I have the Custom Carry too. I like having the 'set'.

It's nice to see good values on the Type M's.
