180gr Speer GDHP loads for SD

  1. - Glock 20, IGB 4.6" barrel, full supported
    - DPM 3-spring system (weaker "yellow" main spring)
    - powder: Vihtavuori N105
    - primers: CCI 350 LP Magnum
    - brass: Starline, shot once in IGB barrel
    - bullets: Speer GDHP 180gr
    - temp: 28°C (83°F)

    load: 11.0gr COAL 1.260

    Recoil is acceptable comparing to some other loads I made for carry in woods.
    According to some other data sources these velocities are still acceptable for this bullet so it wouldn't overexpand or fragment.
    N105 is a low flash powder so shooting in darkness wouldn't be an issue.
    IMO this load is good for SD in urban conditions.
