My teen son is getting into trap shooting at our club. The club charges $5 for 25 shells, but the cheapest I can find trap/skeet loads at Wally World is about $7 a box (Winchester AA). So...I'm wondering if it's worth it to consider reloading for it, or just pay the $5 for their ammo. I loaded 12 gauge back in the early 80's with a Lee handloading kit and had mixed results, but good enough for shooting blackbirds with. Does anyone who loads for 12 gauge have a rough idea if it's worth the endeavor with respect to amortizing the cost of a press (leaning toward RCBS absent any other recommendations) and components? TIA. Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
