Hey I want to get a Lone Wolf .40S&W drop-in barrel for my G20 to practice with. Currently I have an ISMI 22lb recoil spring, will I need a different one? If so what weight?

    Thanks!

I use my 22lb spring with my S&W 1006 & Bar_Sto 40S&W conversion barrel with my hand loads. Also use my G-29 with the 21lb spring set and the wolff recoil non captured rod with my Storm Lake 40S&W conversion barrels.

I have had no issues with either of the guns changing form 10mm or 40S&W using these springs.

When I use my KKM 10mm-.40 conversion and use .40 target loads, I get brass in the face with the stock recoil spring. I think a lighter recoil spring may help in letting the slide cycle faster, thus getting the brass farther away from me.

The stock G20 spring works fine with the LWD 10-40 conversion barrel.

I'm curious what other options are there for "changing" extractors. Seems to me the 10MM and .40 S&W cases are essentially the same so the OEM G20 extractor should work for both.
