What # recoil spring do you use in your 10mm 1911? I recently bought one and I think it could use a heavier recoil spring.

I don't have the 1911's but I think many have gone to the 24 lb springs for the heavy 10mm stuff from their 1911 pistols. Some have increased the main springs also.

Please get more info before making your decision!

    P.S. some installed buffers too!

I had zero issues with the stock spring and stock barrel shooting Swamp Fox premium ammo 2oo grain xtp and fmj at 1240fps.
I have some hot 180grain Buffalo Bore on the way... and Underwood 200gr xtp soon to come...Doubt I will have problems shooting stock...but I do have a 20# drop-in to experiment with.
Will report on the Buffalo Bore ammo next week.

I see that Wolff springs says 23# is standard for the Delta Elite.

    I use a 22# recoil spring, but that's in a Commander length 1911, 4.25"

If I knew I was going to shoot nothing but warm to hot loads I'd pop in a 24# spring.
