Well, I fell into a 460 rowland hole a while back and I can't get out... I bought a G21 and another Rowland kit for it and sold my G20... Please do not scorn me as I have already ordered a 45-10 Storm Lake Barrel from Glockmeister as well as a supply of various extractors... My Adjusted KKM 6" 10mm barrel is in the classifieds, it is a very nice shooting barrel that now will feed anything you throw its way.. tip make your Bear Tooth 200's seat to 1.25... Out of the fold and right back in...

Well, after a long wait, i received my order from Glockmeister with my Storm Lake 21/10mm barrel, I haven't gotten a chance to get it to the range yet but it locks up very tight and gets there very smoothly. I have a lone wolf g30 barrel thats a little choppy seating, even after some stoning to the ears... Happy so far, I'll comment again after a range trip.

Well, after some fussing around with ejection problems with the 21/10 conversion barrel and wanting to not tear down my 460 Rowland set up on my G21 slide... I purchased a G20 slide from forum member, finally got the firing pin from midway yesterday, fitted the 21/10mm barrel to the G20 slide, and put it all together. It all fits together without any slop... Hopefullly I can get out to the range Friday and see how it runs with the 200 gr Beartooths and Longshot.

I took the new 20 slide, modified Storm Lake 21/10mm set up to the range yesterday and it ran flawlessly. BTB 200 WFN's, Hunter supply 175 gr SWC's, Berry 180 HP's. it ran them all very well. As I fired more rounds and the barrel found it's place in the slide the groups tightened up. The BTB 200's and the Hunter Supply 175 Grain bullets were running in the 2 1/2 inch range for me at 25 yds. Happy with the set up and its reliability.

Thanks for the report. It's fortunate that the large frame, standard Glocks feed SWC ammo reliably, because it's a losing battle with the subcompact G30.

I'm curious which extractor options you tried with the G21 slide and 10mm conversion? From your report, I gather that none were completely reliable and that surprised me.

I tried both LCI 45 and 10mm extractors, but I didn't change my recoil spring. To give the conversion barrel a chance, I think dropping that down(from 24# )would have helped and possible solved my crunching brass and brass to the forehead. I based the 24# on the G20SF I sold after I bought the G21, That particular glock would throw brass 20 feet with the 24# spring and mid level ammo.. Honestly I found the g20 slide and it made sense for me to go to a dedicated slide/barrel set up for 10mm, and keep the 460 Rowland set up in the 21 slide. Both cartridges have a little different point of aim. I do feel it would have settled in but I found a better option for me before I reached that point.

I agree that's a great solution for reliability, with quick and convenient switching between 460R and 10mm. A G20 slide is usually not easy to find.

Thanks for the explanation concerning the extractors and RSA. Was the 10mm extractor you tried with the G21 slide a factory part or aftermarket (or both)?

Both extractors were factory glock, the 21 version was much better/more reliable than the G20 10mm extractor.
