Any good uses for a 1 year old Dell 15 " CRT monitor? Can you sell these things??
You can try. I'd try ebay, b ut some people don;t like the high shipping costs for monitors.
It might be best to donate it.I used to use a 15 inch to monitor my home network and the internet.I have enough extra 17 inch monitors now,I gave away two 14 inchers and my one 15 incher.
I didn't even know they were still making 15 inch monitors a year ago.The 17 inch ones are so cheap now.
You'd be lucky to get $15 for it at a yard sale.
I suggest you keep it for a spare or give it away, preferably to someone with good eyes.
In the order of importance:
1) donate to charity
2) target practice
3) curbside on trashday!
Can't believe no one has said setup a dual monitor. Get a cheap PCI video card and plug it in to that. Set it as an additional screen and then you have two. I'll leave chat programs (aim, irc, msn, etc), winamp, command prompts, volume, etc all in that screen leaving my main screen for browsing or whatever else I'm primarily focused on but get to retain easy monitoring of all the other stuff without having to minimize and re-open my main task. Shouldn't cost more than 20-30 bucks for a cheapo pci video card.
