What happens if you put an 0-1 spring for a G22 in a G-17? Assuming you used full power or NATO spec ammo and proper grip and stance, would you experience a significant reduction in felt recoil and or muzzle flip without reducing the reliability of the weapon? I have a Gen 4 G22 and my uncle I think has a 17. I would like to try my spring in his gun and see what happens. I know both the gen 4 17 and 22 both originally came with this recoil spring when they first came out and plenty of people claimed to be able to shoot their 17/19s just fine with the heavier spring as long as they used quality full power ammo. Has anyone tried this with recent production gen 4 Glocks?

Your assumption is correct. I am still using the original 01 spring in my 17.

Have you ever put the 0-2 spring in it or shot someone else's gun with the lighter spring?
