Hey Brian , I haven't been around for a while, you may not remember me. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind weighing in on my " Which 3" " thread in the 1911 forum. Your opinion on 1911's carry a bit more weight around here if you know what I mean. Also , I had a thread on here a long time ago about parkerizing a old colt. I've actually decided to have it hard chromed and go all original with it instead of tricking it out based on your advice. Anyway thanks in advance.

    Bac,
I saw your post about the Vltor pistol.
I asked specifically about it at their booth, the guy I talked to said that it is not dead, but they are not exactly working on it either, he claimed that their time was best suited filling military contracts for their 40mm launchers.

WOW! BREAKING NEWS! BREN DISSES BAC!

Bren, I read your post with incredulity. How can anyone diss BAC? He is a kind, self-effacing, modest gun collector, who is a mainstay of GT, who probably has the finest collection of pistols on GT, and who is always willing to try to answer a newbie's question.

Of all the people on GT to diss, BAC is not the one. I think you owe him a public apology. It's the right thing to do.

Need your opinion Please. I own and shoot alot of 1911's. But sometimes that just confuses the issue. OK, so you are at the gun shop, you are going to buy a pistol. There are three to choose from. One is Loaded Champion Operator in stainless no rail. One is Kimber Pro Size SIS. One is Dan Wesson Custom, light de-horn, ambi safety added CBOB. Thank you. Your opinion is respected.

Hey bac - seek your opinion. I have a TRP and wish to add another 1911 for CC. I want the best value (not most expensive) since I am price sensative. It will be a shooter, not a safe queen. I can spend up to $2,000. You seem to think highly of Dan Wesson. What do you think of adding a CBOB?.. but am concerned about the weight. I know you carry a Kimber CDP Pro but I hear good and bad about Kimber (maybe because there are so many?). I don't hear anything bad about Wesson. Open to your opinion but won't hold you accountable for my decision.

Good afternoon, I have a 1911 purchasing question for you. What is your take on S&W 1911s? I found a couple but was considering another Kimber in a week or so. Any input would be appreciated, thanks
