I can't afford buyer's remorse, and the idea of that really long trigger pull worries me.
But for $224 with FFL fees included, I'm having a tough time NOT placing an order (except for that damn chiropractic bill...)
My 709 wouldn't feed Gold Dots, the bullet tip of the next round would activate the slide lock. One mag wouldn't lock in securely and the mag release in general felt toy like. The trigger broke way far back though I could live with that.
It did shoot well though, when it worked. My one and only Taurus experience, now and forever.

I am well pleased with my PT111 G2. No failures of any kind at the 250 round mark with Blazer brass FMJ and Gold Dot 124, and it hits where my eyeballs are pointing. I like the trigger, and the gun is easy to carry. The only very minor downside for me is that it gets pinchy between the grip and mag on my pinkie meat after extended shooting. I'm a total fan of this gun.
The original PT111 had a 10-round double-stack mag and was pretty compact. I would put it up there with many of the .380 mouse guns for being able to be concealed in areas where our 2nd Amendment rights are not respected.
I picked up a PT111 from SOS for a great price. After a FTE per magazine, no exaggeration, I sent it back to Taurus. They replaced the ejector spring, and the FTE is better but not fixed. The gun is not accurate in my opinion. I really wanted to like this gun. It feels good in my hand. I won’t buy any more guns from Taurus.

I have the original PT111. I consider it accurate enough, considering the short sight radius. A gun like that is not something that you will be using at a long distance, but rather at a fairly close defense range. If you can put all the rounds in the torso at 20 ft, it's plenty accurate. And an argument could be made that a small gun like that is for even closer distances.
I bought a PT111 Pro a year or so ago for no other reason than it was so inexpensive...$185 at the time shipped from Whitaker Guns...
After a few range sessions it became one of my favorites to carry! For the size it's got a nice round capacity and nice and slim. My only complaints are the long trigger pull and how far back the trigger is upon reset for my big hands and it is somewhat picky on ammo...a couple brands of ammo caused 'stove pipes' but with nice ammo it has been flawless!
Not understanding the comments of not being accurate...mine is in the top 3 in accuracy for my carry firearms..at 7-10yds...depending on ammo it very well could be the best or equal to the best!
I've bought 3 more for family members since and all are almost identical in terms of operation and accuracy!
We have two ! Both are flawless and accurate 10 yards 3 inch groupings.I like it better than the Glock 26.My daily carry mostly is a Glock 43 which is great and occasion a glock 19.So why two Taurus P-111s ? The price and reliability and always good to have several dependable 9mms !
I've been shooting the snoot out of mine and it has been flawless.
It's been in my carry rotation and I feel very comfortable and confident with it.
The trigger takes some getting used to but once you do it's not bad and very accurate.
Best $100 I have ever spend.
The magazines are a little pricey but that's it.
And why do I have two? Because my wife confiscated the one I ordered for myself so I had to order another one. At the same time I ordered a PT709 slim and she confiscated that so, once again, I had to order another one of those for me!
She carries the G2 everyday and I carry the 709 everyday.
Taurus haters don't know what they're missing, which is great for us, because it keeps the price low and we can order multiple guns at a fraction of the price of other Compact 9mms!
I have had one for over a year now and paid $199.00 with free shipping.... Around the same time also bought a PT709 Slim for $189.00 with free shipping and also a TCP 738 for $179.00 with free shipping... All three came from Palmetto State Armory who quite often offers free shipping on handguns....
All three have proved to be excellent Firearms as they are all accurate and reliable and a Smokin deal for the price..... I get great satisfaction out of being able to buy things for a low price when they turn out to be reliable....
The PT111 G2 has gotten great reviews almost everywhere you look I've hardly heard a bad word from anyone about it.... I have put many rounds through mine and also have several friends who have bought one who are also as happy with it as I am....
