Hi guys, thinking about picking up a new iwb holster for my glock 26. I'm looking for something that rides low and is comfortable, i have a few simple kydex holsters that are straight with no cant they don't really conceal that well with just a t shirt. my mic conceals well but is not very comfortable. i would like to keep the price pretty budget ($40ish)

thanks for any info:)

I like the High Noon Mr Softy iwb. I have six different holsters for my G19, ranging in price from $29- 125. The Mr Softy is the least expensive and my favorite. Still holding up well after several years of everyday carry and very comfortable.

I know the snobs will be out after my recommendation, but I have quite a few holsters for my Glocks (in this case a 26) and I often just go with an Uncle Mike IWB. They just work, and are VERY comfortable.

By comfortable, do you mean padded? Is the mic uncomfortable because you don't like the feel of the slide and frame on you or for some other reason?

I find the minimalist options comfortable because they don't add bulk. For me, not a mic, but a Raven Vanguard 2. Used for both the G30S and a G26. Tuckable. conceals fairly well on me (thin build).

I like the Don Hume H715M SOOT Snap on IWB holster.

I did take a further look at it and it only made it seem more incredible that folks think they're Glocks aren't safe enough for carry by themselves, but won't simply get another gun they feel more comfortable with . . . no aftermarket doodad required.

I suggest you do some reading here about lightened trigger pulls (Mas Ayoob weighed in on another thread we have going) and maybe also at this link

As far as the army, I think anybody who works in the fires process has to be a cut above. It's absolutely beautiful to watch fires go out from the BDE level.
I looked up different post by (Mas Ayoob) Came across one about Heaver Trigger Pulls, NY style trigger pulls and accidental discharges of firearms. I guess we will half to agree to disagree on an aftermarket doodad. It does not make me feel more or less comfortable. As for the lighter trigger pull lawyers will find any excuse to find fault and sue someone.

Also came across articles about ammo used in defense, anti-gun lawyers will probably have a field day with me. I still carry Winchester 230gr Black Talons; I still come across people telling me they banned them. Truth is Winchester voluntarly took Black Talons off the market, and then came out with Winchester STX Ranger for Law Enforcement only. I’m glad I still have 9MM, 40 S&W and 45ACP rounds still.

Before and after I went into the Military I worked for Harrington & Richardson (H&R). Lawsuits are what caused the company to file for bankruptcy causing the door to close and later sold and formed into H&R 1871. People would stick there shotguns barrel into the ground and get stuff in the barrel and fire it. The gun blows up injuring them and they blame it on a faulty gun, an anti-gun lawyers dream case. That is why I have USCCA- Concealed Carry Self Defense Insurance; it is worth $30.00 a month for a million dollars’ worth of liability insurance, bail and lawyer retainer.

Speaking about watching Artillery Fire, once I had the privilege of calling in a 24 gun 6rds each of 8" Howitzers fire mission (that's 144rds). Talk about rocking the impact area, best part I'm always on the OP and get to watch it. Back then I could do a lot with a map, compass, binoculars and radio.

I want to thank everyone following this Discussion for allowing me to get off subject, and following rabbit trails. It did take me to other interesting information.

Back to holsters, take the input from all. See if you can go to a gun shop or show were you can see and feel the types suggested here. You want one that is comfortable to ware and secures the firearm yet dose not hinder you from acquiring it. Some holsters types have longer brake in periods then others. Take your time to get to know your holster and firearm together. You may find over the years you’ll end up with more than one for the same firearm and prefer one and dislike another.

I will add this, I do like one that helps keep dirt and lint out, and protects from perspiration. And lined to help protect from holster ware as much as possible.

I use the same holster for my 27, 30S and 19. My 27 actually feels about as thin as my 43 in a standard kydex holster when carried in the Vanguard 2. My G27 virtually disappears with the Vanguard 2
