I know there is not a lot of love here for Taurus pistols but the new "Spectrum" pistol they are coming out with looks promising for a pocket pistol.
I don't care for all the color options but DO like the shape and how rounded it is.
It is 100% made in USA also!
I want to handle one. My only concern is the true DAO trigger as I have become spoiled by SA and light striker fired triggers...
Could be real competition for the LCP.

Apparently Taurus believes some people will consider their firearm a success if it matches their shoes and purse.

I want to see one up close before I commit to say I want one. What's one more gun??? The fact that it's only 10 oz. intrigues me. Would I make it my 100% carry gun...probably not but like I said...waiting to see if I can actually get to see one anytime soon.

I excepted most of the comments received here.
I think it still looks like it could be a good choice for a pocket gun but I won't be getting one in some of the wild colors (if I buy one at all)!
I'd choose all black, black and gray or SS and black....
I like the Flash Gordonish looks myself and its smoother than most "pocket pistols" out there.

Would recommend the SCCY wholeheartedly over this one. Better caliber, better capacity, also 100% made in the USA, and the money stays in the country, does not go to an overseas company.

I am invested in the LCP... but it looks really good.

I love my Taurus Millennium G2 9mm, so I will give it a hard look.

I like that they include two magazines, a six round and a seven round with a pinky extension. Very clever take down "lever". ( I hate the LCP take down pin).

Yes it looks like a better mouse trap all the way around to me IF it works....

Are these LCP sized?? That is the direct comparison to this new Taurus.
Slightly bigger, but smaller than a G 26. I think all the things mentioned makes it a better option, but to each his own.

I preferred my S&W Bodyguard to the LCP, smaller, thinner and shot it about the same.

The SCCY is probably going to be my summer carry this year, with a Remora stays put where I place it and is very comfortable IWB.

To the op if you like it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Having said that, Taurus does not have a good reputation. It's their own fault. They seem to have a creative design team, that thinks outside the box. Frankly I am sick of seeing "new" striker fired polymer guns from everybody and his brother. Why Taurus cannot improve their quality control is beyond me. Maybe this time they have. Maybe.
