Hi all, I´m Luis from Argentina. I have a G17 4gen but now I bought a G20 3gen to hunt feral hogs and red deers in our woods. Here are big hogs (european "jabali") till 220 kg. I hope my g20 will be enough!!
Regards!!
luis.
Hi Fgutie, I use English because this site has english as local languaje. obviously that the distance is relative where to shot. But between 30 or 60 meters, 10mm auto is a good option. we are talking of 200 gr that fly near 1250 fps or more. Its enogh to stop wild hogs in La Pampa forest. It's like .41mag !. I usually use .338 wm or 30-06 or 7.65 arg to hunt hogs, but sometimes you are walking into the hood and suddenly 20 or more hogs cross running fast to other site. The best choice is a big handgun to kill 2 or 3 of them. With boilt action rifles you are subordinated to one shot, because in one second all the pigs desappear. but with the glock or any pistol (and experience) rapidly, you can fire one, two or more. Its recommended hard cast ammo, and 180 or 200 gr.
regards!
luis
