Is it weird I have a Gen3 G23 and just bought a desert tan and black Gen4 G23. My wife doesn't seem to see any logic. I think it makes perfect sense!!!!

Makes complete sense to me, I have
Two gen2 G-23's
Two gen3 G-22s
A gen2, and a gen3 G-17
A gen3 G-21, and looking for a G-21SF
Two 12 ga pump Shotguns one in each end of the house.
Good things in doubles are not bad.
Always nice to have a backup.

Now there's a woman I could love. I've had numerous Porsches over the years. My ex was into those, but had she made that statement, the sky would would have been the limit. I had a Cabriolet and a 914-6, acquired a third (57 Speedster) and had an aluminum bodied Autocraft 289 Cobra w/built 302 Roush fall in my lap at the same time. Both were priced below market, what's a guy to do? One of the only times I was told that I needed help. She *****ed to my in-laws and was told be happy I wasn't chasing skirt, gambling or an excessive drinker or drug abuser. Good folks, I miss them.

I used to believe having a mid sized and its subcompact mate made plenty of sense. But now I really think there's a lot of benefit in having two of your primary pistol.

There's a ready source for any part that may fail, you can dry-fire with one and reserve the other for range time and/or carry. I've got a pair of 19's now, though only one has an RDS.

Lots of reason to have a duplicate.

I like how you think! I own two consecutive serial numbers G23s Gen3s, and each has their 40-9 conversion barrel and mags. They're about as practical as it gets.

Willie B, you have good taste in cars, in addition to guns. Congratulations!

It's normal. I had a gen2 19 and a gen4 19. Both are on permanent loan (my mother has the gen2 and my exwife has the gen4) and I don't expect to get them back. Ever.

My plan is to buy two gen4 32s (hopefully with consecutive serial numbers) to replace my gen3 32 and 33 as my EDCs. Just waiting to see if there is a gen5 or not before I call my dealer to see if he has two 32s in stock.

Not worried about guns being locked up as evidence. I have plenty to use and train with all regularly.
