Why I love my G43...

For one, it's been great so far, about 6 or 700 rounds, not one issue, winchester, remington, hornaday, federal.

Learning rapid firing, it's not easy to let the trigger out, then back, quickly, without jerking in one direction or the other.

Practice, practice, practice.

But why do I really love it? It's looks? no, It's sound? no, it's colors? no...

I love it because the darn thing is just functional. It functions as it should. I kind of don't care how it looks, but I sure as heck care that it works. :)

I love my G43. Bought it right after the GSSF match in Texas last year. I watched the "Pocket Pistol Match" and was impressed. I have had the 43 since May 2016 and fired over 5K through it. I added the HiViz front sight and put the pearce +1 extention on 9 of my magazines. I am currently working on reloads for the coming GSSF in Apr. The plate rack is my problem with 115 gr. ammo, to much muzzle flip. My time is about 1.5 tp 2 sec slower than my G19. Tried half a box of 147gr ammo and they seem a little faster.
Now that we have the plate rack permanently set up at DPC, I'm getting lots of practice. Any suggestions for reloads would be appreciated.

I'm willing to bet its as good as you say. I want one bad. But here in the great communist state of New Jersey, you have a higher chance of winning both the powerball and mega millions in the same week then you do getting a carry permit. I may still get one. If someday we can carry in this state, there will be a mad rush for these little suckers, but I'll already have one!

I've had one for 6 months. Really like it. 500 rds no issues at all.
I have noticed tho that with my 2handed grip my trigger finger is contacting my weak hand palm thru the trigger during shot sequences. This never happened on my other Glocks 17/19M/22/27/34. I guess it's due to the smaller size. First time I'm shooting such a small pistol.
Does this happen to others?
Also, any opinions on extended mag brands? I just bought two +2 Ghost extenders, haven't tested them yet to see reliability.

I liked the first G43 so much, I used it to win another G43 at a GSSF match. The one on the right has approx. 3000 rounds fired from it. The extra/spare magazine has the Ghost +2 extension, which works perfectly. I don't really care for the pinky extensions. I seem to shoot it better with my pinky tucked under the mag floor plate and I'm another one that doesn't believe in making the little gun harder to conceal. I do have the MagGuts follower and spring in the magazine, so I end up with 7+1 with a flush mag. That too works perfectly.

My 42 and 43 cover 95% of my carry needs these days. Like everyone else, my 43 has been 100% from the first round, with 7 different ammos. I carry it IWB, and the flat base plates were at an awkward place for my hands, but the Pearce +1's give me a perfect grip, and they have been 100% reliable. The 42 is my pocket gun when I carry that way. Neither one is going anywhere. Perfect combo for me.

I currently have a Shield 9 but am going to replace it with a G43. The slide spring on the 9 is atrocious (way too stiff) and getting the slide to lock back is a career, although it does ok when last round is fired. I never had this problem with any of the Glocks I've owned. Had to buy an Uplula to load the mags because, again, the springs are too strong. As it's a single stack also I'm wondering if the Uplula might work on single stack Glock mags?

I kind of doubt it will work, I know the one I bought for my single stack Kahr pm9 didn't work. The G43 actually has 'slightly' offset mags, thus making them a bit wider than most single stacks.

The 43 does come with it's own good quality loader. Can also buy them from Glock for 3 bucks.

All Glocks come with the loader at least every one I've bought. All you need is one they're all the same well for 9s' any way.

Bought the G43 today at the LGS and you're right, AzItLies, Glock does provide a loader in the case. On closer inspection the loader is narrower for a single stack magazine. Problem solved. (But I'll try the Uplula anyway, just on the outside chance that it might work).

One oddity: They were out of black models at the LGS and the only 43 they had was a dark green (or olive drab). So I bought it. It was manufactured by Glock and not an after-market cerakote.
Never had a dark green Glock before. I've owned a number of Glocks when I was an LEO: G17, 19, 21,21SF, and a G26.

Great conceal carry weapon.

It should have been here years ago. In the mean time I bought a kahr cw 40 that is great and an xds9 that is also awesome. The xds is 8 +1 with a factory magazine. The shield is also awesome and all three of those guns are cheaper than the glock.

Hope you all like them, I would have bought one a few years ago if they were out when everyone else was bringing out new single stacks.

Funny thing is I used to get endless people telling me my glock 36 was useless and dangerous because it only held 6 + 1 rounds. What happened to all those folks . ?

had one of those also. That 43 is a great gun, I am going to buy another as my wife has pretty much taken the first one.

I am undecided about the G-43.
I bought a Ruger LC9s after the G-42 came out and heard about all the problems they were having.
The LC9s has been great, has not missed one round, and shoots where I'm looking. Now the G-42's seem to be working
right, and I am thinking about getting one for my Wife. She is left handed and has weak wrists, shooting anything with any power hurts her wrist.

Yes, they got the 43 right, after trying two rentals, I thought I'd stick with my Shields.

Then 'the deal comes along.'

I found a seller with an ultra low mileage 43, a professional stipple jod & Trijicons for $4C.
I could not pass that deal up, so I now own a 43. :dancingbanana:

I have not had a range session with it yet, I have an Agency Arms flat trigger/Edge connector package enroute, stay tuned for a report.
One range session yesterday, it ran every thing I loaded it with, mostly 124 gr. Hornadys. Soft recoil & after I tweaked the sights a bit, it shot to point of aim. Nice little gun.!

Ditto what everyone has said. I love my G43. It's been 100% reliable with 300 rounds thru it so far (I'd put more thru it but ammo is hard to get here in BZ). With appendix carry and a StealthGear IWB holster it just disappears from sight. I added TruGlo TFX sights and it shoots directly to POA.

I experimented with 115g and 124g Fiocchi JHP ammo into water jugs and both expanded with no problem. The 115g expanded a bit more so that's what I use for carry.

I can only have 1 gun here in BZ, and it can only be 9mm or 380ACP. I chose the G43 over the G19 and G26 for the better conceal-ability. Absolutely no regrets. Took Glock long enough to come out with it but now that they did, it's a winner.

Here in Florida the 43 is a pleasure. Conceals easy without printing, easy to shoot with typical Glock ease of maintenance. Plus mine has the gray frame. What's not to like?

Went from zero, to shooting a couple different 9mm (XDS, KAHR, and G43) as well as a .40 cal XD3, then CPL Class with qualification on the provided .22 cal (through the remainder of the process, and now in the 45 day wait period to receive the final approval), to a purchase of my own G43, through 150+ rounds, all in about 2 weeks!

I'm absolutely thrilled with the G43, to the point where I've since bought 500 rounds of Winchester and 500 rounds of Browning ammo from 2 different sites and I'm now planning to make my first Guns and Ammo show in Monroe this weekend followed by an appearance at the Suburban Collection, to pick up a few pieces of gear depending on what I can find.

The G43 is super easy for a newb like me and given that I've shot less than 500 rounds in my entire lifetime but being able to shoot a group of 6 within a 4" circle at 21 feet, I can say accuracy even though it's not 'broken in yet' is what I had hoped.

Can't wait to get back out on the range (but gotta clean it first). She needs a bath.

Watching the mail too. The CPL final approval step can take up to 45 days here in Michigan. I'm now on day 3. It's worse than waiting for Christmas as a kid. :)

Sounds to me like you are doing great. Practice is the key and it appears you do. Good luck, stay safe.
