I actually wrote to Glock to complain about my AD wait time. Instead of an e-mail, a person from Glock called me back and told me that all stores get their Glocks from two shipping locations. It may take up to 180 days to receive a new G-26 from the factory. It has been about 140 days and counting.... Kind of ridiculous, but I have a non-refundable $200 down payment at the AD. It states I only have $200 store credit if I give in.
<deep breath> Its just a gun. It will all work out in the end. In the interim, maybe go grab a Ruger LCP II to take your mind off things. Its really a win-win.
If your gun shop can't find Glocks then you need a new gun shop. Even when everyone was complaining that Glock was behind by a Jillion Glocks my LGS was always fully stocked. I think they're just taking their time because they already have your non-refundable money.
In September, my local store had one shipped to it on the day I told them to order me a G26 Gen 4, and I was told that the distributor had something like 150 in stock. The delay must be something peculiar to your locale or your store.
No. I also did not care if it was manufactured in Georgia or Austria. I just wanted to get it before I leave for Florida where I just received my carry permit (I own a home there, but had to get an out of State license since I'm registered in NJ).
I live in NE PA so probably not to far from you. I don't recall ever not seeing a G26 in any of the LGS's in my area. Most routinely stock both the G19 & G26. It's got to be your LGS, to bad about the deposit. You could have just stopped in the Heritage Guild in Easton, PA, they would ship it to your LGS in NJ.
There are about 200 NIB Glock 26 pistols on Gun Broker right now. Any reason you didn't just order from an out of state dealer and have it shipped to a local FFL? Just curious.
