I have had a G26 for a year or so, but just last week bought a G43 for the extra concealability. So my dilemma is, do I keep both, or sell the G26 and buy a G19 to have a concealed carry weapon and a more full-sized weapon? It seems to me that my new G43 has made the G26 if not superfluous, then pretty darned close. (Buying a G19 and keeping all three is not an option.)
I had a 26, bought a 43, and traded the 26 for a ppq m2.
Now I really like my options. 43 for pocket and tshirt carry. PPQ for sweatshirts and coats and iwb.
If your going to have one, the 26 is the ticket, if you have multiple guns, I like the idea of really small and big.
You could also just keep the 26 and add some 19 or 17 round mags too.
A 19 is a full sized weapon? What will be the purpose of the gun replacing the 26? If it's a range gun I'd recommend a 34 or 17. Those that say they can shoot a 19 as well as a 17 need to move farther back and reevaluate that statement imo.
You're right. I used to think the 27 was more comfortable, hence I figured I shot better with it. While it seemed to be more comfortable in my hand, I was nowhere near as accurate as I am with the full size G20SF I currently have.
I find that my 23 carries better than my 26, just feels more balanced on my belt IWB. Could just be me. Try em out for yourself and see what you like better.
I switch between carrying my 43 and 23, which is the same size as the 19. I would sell the 26 and get the 19. If the 19 seems too big to conceal for that day's activities, then you'd have the 43 to supplement it.
No need to duplicate the G26 with a G43 except for the thin profile. If you like the 43, by all means sell the 26 and go with a 19 for capacity, accuracy, and a full grip. With a GOOD IWB holster I can carry a G19 (actually a G32, but the same size) easily in denim shorts and a baggy t-shirt or open lightweight cover shirt.
I have (3) 26's and (2) 17's left from downsizing. The 26/17 platforms have been my competition and carry options for over 20 years.
The 43 and 19 do not fit my hands and that situation predominates my choices. I shoot the 26 as accurately out to 47 yards as the 17, and proof is in competion and propensity to shoot groundhogs in the back yard.
I do undercut the 26's trigger guard and have added Pearce pg39 extensions on all 40 of my mags. My size allows pocket and smart carry with (13 ) rounds.
I suggest you evaluate on what you can shoot the best considering form, fit and function. Planning on paper often yields heartache and the need to sell to ammend a bad decision.
Just today, I did essentially this. I had a G19 and a G43. I picked up a G26 to round out the caliber. I could get by with two of them. Three is better. I have a fair number of 17/19 magazines. Getting a second gun that can use them all was a no brainer for me. The 43 gives me the thinner/lighter carry options at the cost of no magazine compatibility.
The above post about selling just before an election is worth thinking about. Wait a few weeks before selling anything with the Glock logo on it.
But on the other hand, if buying, now is the time. Prices haven't jumped, and they will. You can always recoup your costs, and might be able to purchase something never available again.
Buckshot...in my opinion I'd take the Gen3 unless it is simply too big for your grip (and I've found that the Gen4 with no backstrap makes very little difference). It is a tried and true tank. The more changes they make the farther they get away from what made them famous.
I would keep the 26 and stock up with the mags for the 19 and 17, and get the gen 4 (if you another gun) because then you can make the grip any size you want.
I know y'all are shocked, but I'm completely out of Glocks and all in on M&P mainly due to the gen 3 finger grooves.
HOWEVER, I am digging the new 17 that they put forth for the FBI. Is it the 17M?
With no finger grooves and the mag funnel, that thing looks great!
I own a 43, 19, 17, 42, & 26.....(those are all my glocks) I was thinking of selling my 26 but it was my first gun and I just can't do it..i love it because I've put over 3k rounds through it and I feel i've invested too much time and ammo into it to let it go. And i never had ONE single failure with it, AT ALL. Glock 9mm, gotta catch em all (Pokemon Meme hehe).
I'm going with the OP's statement "Buying a G19 and keeping all three is not an option."
I truly think the 19 is a much more versatile platform than the 26.
I wish everyone would at least try some form of competition once, if it's just to get their heart rate up while firing a firearm. The 19 is better than the 26 when doing that, especially if you are changing mags on the clock.

I've got two 43's, a 17, 19, and 26, and they all have their place. Personally, I wouldn't get rid of a 26 to get a 19, because there isn't enough size difference.
You don't have a dilemma. You have indecisiveness.
edit: Changed my mind. I really thought about this, a bit. The 26 and 43 are close in that the grips on both are two finger. I think I'd rather have that than the short, 3 finger 19 and the two finger 43. The 19 doesn't really offer anything, more, other than a few more rounds in an OEM mag.
Go with the 19 and 43. If you could afford to keep the 26, it would work well with the 19 in sharing the mags and being a versatile platform. I generally advise to never sell a reliable gun, especially one that would work into a system of mags.
